Celta Vigo coach Claudio Giraldez was delighted with their 2-1 win against Athletic Bilbao.

Williot Swedberg and Hugo Alvarez struck for Celta on Wednesday night.

Giraldez said: "Very demanding mentally. We have recovered from many blows. I don't think we were bad in the first half, the game begins with an unusual play such as an Olympic goal. It was a complicated game on a mental level and we had players on the bench that could change the game.

"I think our game has a lot of merit in the mental aspect and what we have done. We were able to recover from many blows.

"We have to win in Granada (to be safe), when we lower the bar we don't give our best level.

"We knew that Iago might not last the 90 minutes and we wanted to do well as long as he was there. We took the eleven that could give us the best start and having players on the bench who could change the game."
